Applications are now open for the €10,000 Climate Communication Fund, an initiative designed to support climate-focused civil society organizations (CSOs) worldwide. Many climate CSOs operate with limited budgets and face challenges in effectively communicating their work, which can hinder their outreach, impact, and ability to act swiftly. The Climate Communication Fund aims to break this cycle by providing resources and support to enhance communication capacities.

The fund focuses on building skills in strategic communication, written content development, storytelling, media and press relations, social media management, and visual communication. Its primary objectives include co-creating tailored communication strategies, developing social media tools, and encouraging locally-led storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences.

Benefits
Based on their starting point, each grantee will receive a tailored mix of:
- Communication capacity building (training, workshops & coaching)
- Communication Strategy & Plan development
- (Social) Media kit
- Storytelling Audit: video, photo and social media presence
- Media outreach support (press, radio, digital, community media)
Eligibility:
The Climate Communication Fund accepts proposals from climate CSOs & NGOs that:
- implement practical activities on-site
- have a maximum turnover of 5 million USD/EUR per year
- are legally registered, located anywhere in the world
- have a maximum of 20 staff members
- operate in and are proficient in English
- are available to work on their communication for 16 hours per month
The Climate Communication Fund does not accept proposals from:
- individuals, companies, non-registered entities
- organisations that do not engage in practical activities
- organisations that work in a different language than English
