Global Youth Climate Action Fund Microgrants 2025

GYCAF strives to create a future where young people have the tools and funding needed to lead in green entrepreneurship, helping to build a low-carbon, environmentally responsible global economy.

.

The fund’s core mission is to support climate initiatives led by youth, particularly in communities that are especially vulnerable to the adverse impacts of climate change.

.

Aligned with global climate frameworks, the fund contributes to the collective ambition of mobilizing USD 100 billion and limiting the rise in global temperatures to well below 2°C by 2025. In response to the latest IPCC findings highlighting a challenging decade ahead, there is an urgent need to establish supportive systems that empower youth to be at the forefront of climate solutions.

.

Key Funding Priorities:

Sustainable Agriculture: Supporting climate-smart farming practices to secure food systems.

  • Clean Energy: Expanding access to renewable energy in underserved communities.
  • Ocean Conservation: Safeguarding marine ecosystems and building resilience to ocean-based climate threats.
  • Capacity Development: Equipping youth with skills in climate entrepreneurship and leadership.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Promoting biodiversity protection and encouraging eco-friendly behaviors.
