The D-Prize offers a unique opportunity for changemakers to create lasting impact by launching new social ventures focused on expanding access to proven solutions in low- and middle-income countries.

Rather than funding the invention of new ideas, the D-Prize aims to support the distribution of existing, evidence-based interventions that have already demonstrated success in reducing poverty and improving quality of life.

This opportunity is best suited for practical, evidence-driven projects ready to reach underserved communities. Areas of focus include health, water, agriculture, livelihoods, energy, public services, and education. There is also an option for custom challenges, allowing applicants to propose distribution ideas beyond these categories.

Entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, social enterprises, and for-profit ventures are invited to apply by selecting one of the D-Prize “Challenges” and developing a plan to scale a proven model to reach more people. The program provides seed grants of up to US$20,000 to help launch pilot projects. This initial funding acts as a springboard, enabling participants to test their distribution models and lay the groundwork for future expansion and sustainability.
