The develoPPP Ventures Ideas Competition 2026 supports young entrepreneurs whose innovative business models improve living conditions in developing or emerging countries. Selected companies receive non-dilutive capital of 100,000 euros through a matching-funds model funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Funding Conditions
- DEG Impulse and GIZ provide non-dilutive capital of 100,000 euros.
- A potential top-up may be available in the second phase.
- Companies must secure matching funds equal to the non-dilutive capital from external investors.
- Matching funds received up to six months before the application are acceptable if still available.
- External funds must be secured before develoPPP disbursement.
- Funds must be used in the registered target country.
- The investment proposal must be financially sound with a clear purpose.
- Full commercial financing should not yet be possible at the current stage.
Eligibility:
- The company is registered in the target country or will register before investment.
- The company is privately owned and profit-oriented.
- At least one annual financial statement is available.
- A viable business plan and financial plan are ready.
- The company is operational and has generated its first revenues.
- Total funding previously received does not exceed two million euros.
