CFAs: Investing in Civil Society Leadership to End Violence against Women

The UN Trust Fund has launched a new Call for Proposals to provide four-year grants, offering both core and flexible funds, to civil society organizations working to end violence against women and girls.

.

The initiative focuses particularly on organizations serving structurally marginalized groups, with the goal of strengthening their resilience and sustainability so they can continue delivering critical services, advancing prevention, and driving transformative change.

.

Proposals are welcomed from organizations that contribute to key outcomes, including improving access for women and girls to essential, safe, and quality multisectoral services; enhancing prevention through shifts in behaviors, practices, and attitudes; and increasing the effectiveness of legislation, policies, national action plans, and accountability systems aimed at preventing and ending violence against women and girls.

.

Benefits

  • Grants under this program will range from US $150,000 to US $800,000, with each award running for a duration of four years.

Eligibility:

  • Civil society organizations (CSOs) that are not government entities or UN agencies
  • Eligible applicants must be based in countries or territories included on the OECD Development Assistance Committee’s list of official development assistance recipients.
