The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in Nigeria has launched the Comsat Accelerator, an initiative hosted by the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NigComSat) to empower technology startups and entrepreneurs within the country.

This accelerator is designed to identify and support innovative ventures with a focus on space, satellite applications, and digital communication technologies. Participants will have the opportunity to develop solutions that harness satellite infrastructure and connectivity to address challenges across sectors such as agriculture, health, disaster management, education and finance.

Startups accepted into the program will receive mentorship, access to satellite and communication technology infrastructure, technical support, and potential collaboration opportunities with government agencies and industry partners. The accelerator emphasizes practical deployment of technology, providing a platform for entrepreneurs to test, pilot and scale their solutions within the Nigerian context. By leveraging NigComSat’s satellite assets and ecosystem, the program aims to bridge digital divides and foster technology-driven growth across the country.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
- Be Nigerian-registered technology ventures or entrepreneurs with a clear digital innovation or satellite-enabled business concept.
- Be a legally registered entity with the CAC.
- Have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or prototype.
- Demonstrate strong growth potential and scalability.
- Have a functional website or website presence.
- Show uniqueness of solution and innovation.
- Have a capable, committed and experienced team to execute.
- Submit a 1-minute video demonstrating the product you have developed.
