Applications are now open for the Stiftung Artenschutz Amphibian Conservation Fund, which supports both direct and indirect actions for amphibian conservation. Only those projects that can show a clear, positive impact on the conservation of threatened amphibian species will be considered.

The fund targets species listed as Critically Endangered, Endangered, or Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. However, species in other categories may also be considered if there’s a clear reason for concern or if research is needed to assess the conservation status of Data Deficient or Not Evaluated species.

Stiftung Artenschutz follows internationally recognized conservation guidelines, including those from the IUCN and its Species Survival Commission. The goal is to ensure scientific and strategic alignment in its conservation efforts.

Benefits
- Applicants may request funding up to €5,000, with projects lasting no more than 12 months. Activities that qualify for support include direct conservation actions, habitat protection, scientific research with direct relevance to conservation, capacity building, education, public awareness, and project monitoring and evaluation.
Eligibility:
- Anyone can apply for a grant, but proposals must be submitted in German or English. However, funding will not be granted to projects where the small grant would have little conservation impact, to projects based in the US, Canada, New Zealand, or Australia, or to those that might negatively affect local or indigenous communities.
